Celebrating Hendrix College’s past and future with Von Thurman, in honor of the inauguration of Dr. Karen K Petersen, the 13th president of Hendrix. On exhibit through May 11. Vaughn Thurman‘s passion for cartooning began at the age of nine, and he achieved his first sale at 14. Starting his professional journey as a draftsman, he later secured a position at an advertising firm. His work has been widely recognized, including limited edition prints at Hendrix College and the University of Central Arkansas, Christmas cards for Lt. Governor Winthrop P. Rockefeller, and designs for the Toad Suck Daze festival in Conway, Arkansas.
